Proud owner of my boomer dad’s college copy, which is still in excellent playing shape.
Hardcore devotees of this album swear by the mono, and they’re probably right based on my own experience with other albums that have a renowned mono mix.
However I kinda like the slightly floofy and diffuse nature of the original stereo pressing, cut AAA/tubes from the hot-out-the-oven production master, which I think suites the highly silly and period piece nature of the album, which I say with (mostly) love.
