wow, CB is backed by heavyweights PJJ and KD in his rhythm section. and I agree with music emporium. his vocals are superb. hope to own the original someday.
I made a comparative between mono and stéreo 1958's versions on Riverside. Stéréo version is also good as the mono version and play little loudly than mono.
Also the song "The more i see you" have a different intro and musical arrangements- It Could Happen to You was originally released in 1958 and follows the similar style of his previous vocal records in which he updates old standards to a contemporary cool jazz setting. Unlike previous releases by 1958 Baker's voice had reached a stunning maturity and his trumpet playing is also at a near peak in quality. The song selection is impeccable and everything about this record just oozes coolness. One of the finest releases in Chet Baker's storied career.
