Notes
Released in a gatefold sleeve with embossed and spot varnished finish. The release features two 33⅓ rpm vinyls, three sides of which are playable; the fourth side contains an etching. Records are in plain white innersleeves. 2 lyrics and artwork inserts included - one for each disc. Download code stickered on one of the inner sleeves. On the back of the gatefold, the lyrical passage "In between the reed nodes, Where the stars are hiding" from the track 'Fragment Two' is written in invisible ink.
Working title of A1 was The Way I Do. The track originated from a field recording made by Jack Barnett of an amateur singer half-recalling fragments of a song. TNP were unaware of the original song until completion of recording The Way I Do. Since then the trustees of Bacharach and David's songwriting material have demanded that the title of the half-recalled song be used in place of TNP's title.

- Edited 4 years agoUnfortunately, as much the artwork is nice and the music is insanely beautiful & creative, my copy has annoying sound issues.
Mostly saturation/crackles on 'bass-heavy' and/or busy parts of some tracks which is clearly audible throughout the whole record.
That's a shame because the rest of the record sounds very good and quiet.
Edit: got a second copy, and had the same problem. Pretty bad QC on this record then... - Edited 9 years agoYeah, at £18 I was a bit hesitant to buy this record at first. However after having the music really grow on me throughout the year I finally decided to pick it up and i don't regret it one bit. Comes in a nice embossed gatefold jacket, and includes two inserts and a download code. The records themselves come in polylined sleeves (don't see that very often), and sound absolutely beautiful. The etching is always nice too, much rather have this than having the music unnecessarily spread out over 4 sides like I often see nowadays.
