Is there a chance that Long Long Ago 'Another Relic' was pressed before the release date of this compilation? Whether that's on acetate or vinyl or under a different title?

I'm fully aware many of the tracks on this comp were produced by Derrick May during the 1980s and supposedly, previously unreleased up to this point.

The reason for my curiosity is that I've recently stumbled upon a London pirate radio station recording from 1991 where the above track was featured as part of a DJ's set. Where there any pre-releases of 'Relics' floating about before being fully released? Was the CD Test Pressing circulating prior to the vinyl release? Are there Test Pressings of the vinyl release not submitted as of yet? Questions, questions...

A bit too short of a track. But very sweet it is.

Take note, the Original pressing is with the woven cover, all else are boots or repress ... This Org sounds awesome (For an LP that is) ... // Tommy

I paid bobbins for a copy and naturally it turned out to be a knock off or ill repress. It sounds like a wasp nest, bloody unlistenable and in the bin it goes.

In order to differentiate the original and very shoddily done re-presses, the original 92 lp has a beautiful textured sleeve that feels almost woven, and a grooved label (like the early dutch pressings a la 100% pure, djax, etc). Whereas the repress is standard gloss card cover, and the vinyl is a little worse of a pressing. There are probably more represses than originals now, which is a shame as its a very cheap job for such an outstanding compilation of the finest Detroit music. The original was always hard to come by before the represses, hence the prices, but for quality for your money buy the original!
