Sorry to say my copy has static-like crackling on track B7 in particular, which is the best track. Static sound increases toward the center of the record. It's a problem of the pressing. I recorded it to digital; you can see the sound waves. While dust and scratches cause upward spikes on a sound wave, this pressing has inverted spikes or gaps where the sound drops out. While dust and scratches create pops, these gaps create static-like clicks. Got a plastic sleeve though, not paper.

You can’t even seen Henry’s eyes on first presses (lame). Glad they fixed that on these bw releases by drawing some on.
The cover is low-fi as hell! Damn, they could have done a better scan... it looks like they removed the contrast. But I like the sound I mean. It's an old hardcore album so don't need it to sound like Gustav Mahler's 5th simphony!
Is this a recent or old repress? Any idea about the year? The label says 1984 but it's not likely. Also the paper sleeve is similar to later SST re-releases.
How does this sound? Heard mixed opinions on it. Thanks.
