The Box re-opens may well have been the standout track that sold this EP back in 95, but today it is (in my opinion) the weakest selection the EP has to offer. Some choice sampling from Hellraiser, nice piano rift and tight drum production, doesn't hide a farty b-line that simply doesn't hold it's weight anymore.
The seed offers a nice crossover chilled ragga soul flavour. A great title track, slower drums, plenty of haunting samples and pad work. Not sure I dig the vocals enough in places, perhaps a little too much for may tastes, but I can see alot of damage being done by some more a fan.
Vibe out Remix is the one for me. Packed full of 95 flavour, Big bassline still pulls no punches today. Nice simple use of samples to pad out the roller.
Original Rudeboy tune, big amens, lots of choppage and great vocal sample. big statement tune no passengers allowed with this one. Definately a highlight on the EP.
