Reviews
- My copy sounds pretty damned good. The record is flat (these days, that's something to be thankful for) and very quiet too.
- Mine is great. Very worth it's price. I've had good and bad Lilith pressings, much like.......a ton of other record companies....
This is a good one, especially for 25 bucks. - Sound quality is alright for what it is. Mine came super warped and with a bunch of scratches. For a cheap copy it’s alright to listen to.
- As others have mentioned, it is a decent sounding press with no surface noise whatsoever. I feel like the record could probably use a better mastering as I had to turn up the volume a bit so that it could sound "punchy" and dynamic but overall, this pressing gets the job done at an affordable price.
- Prior to owning this Lilith press, I had the more recent Brazilian mono reissue. The latter had deeper, more robust and ultimately warmer sound. However, it was plagued with quality control issues with surface noise galore. So much so that it was distracting and I got rid of my copy after the first listen. It's a shame, but that's how it goes with most Brazilian pressings. While I'm not as impressed with the source/mastering on the Lilith press, it does get the job done without the distraction of an absurdly noisy disc.
This is the one I'd recommend until a superior reissue hits the shelves.
