      the sort of baseline you'd be happy to have rinsed in the paradise garage for over 3 hours, played and layered into anything .... cos its that effective a signature. like bobby konders - poem, those compositions are both effortless and timeless.

      ive danced to this one, this century and it felt better than most of its kind. i mean, you just find your rhythm in it and perfect it all you like, nothing else to it

          my copy is orig and it is on clear browny translucent vinyl ;-)

          retro but uber cool vocal on this , a bit sort of squeeky 80's usa/latin vocal , you know like denise lopez or madonna kinda sound . ok maybe not as squeeky as d.lopez ! classic chicago bassline , deep simple repetetive and driving .

          minimal but at the same time not , classic classic track .
          "you never miss your water till yur well runs dry" lol vocal quote haha

          well worth checking out one of the early early vocal house tracks

            This is really classic stuff. Great singing and an addictive chi-house bassline that makes you want to move. I only recently discovered this gem and i'm playing it a lot. I like to mix the bass-apella with some oldschool rhythm tracks by vince lawrence etc. Great deep song, absolutely recommended to any deep house junkie.

              Well, let's face it - we all know music is all about opinions. I like this and that but you hate it. You think this is the bomb but I think my five year old neice could compose a similar track with MTV Music Generator. Well, one thing I do understand completely is the language of music. I know when melody is lacking and when there's too much rhythm or not enough composition. It's rather like the French you tried learning in high school but just couldn't get the hang of. I hear music like your French teacher hears fluent French, but you may just hear blah blah blah.....etc. I speak the language of music and I know a virtuoso performance from a kindergartener-could-do-better performance. All those people who are so utterly moved by Kurt Cobain just don't realize and can't admit he never had a lick of talent within him. His tone was notoriously off-key and he slurred his words. This song does not suffer such a fate. The vocals are soft, silky, like a baby's skin. The production clean, right on. It's so clean it's close to virtuoso, but it's too simple compositionally to be virtuoso. Either way, this is a very well-conceived and beautifully executed track. I'm mainly describing the "club mix". OK, I admit, the breakdown is a bit silly, what with the mock argument that isn't that convincing, but that's a moot point to the rest of the track. The vocals are beautiful, and musically it's way better than the low-class swill being made these days. Gosh, Wally, h-how come nobody makes good techno anymore? Well, gee Beav- It's 'cuz everybody's too lazy to put time into their tracks, and besides - they're too busy thinkin' they're the bomb anyway with all the doped up girls crowdin' around the 'tables when they're "throwin' down" starin' at 'em looking like they're really doin' somethin' matchin' up two records for ten minutes. DJs of the world take note - PLEASE stop fronting! Listen to the second or third verse of "Word Up" by Cameo. He said it all.
