Reviews
- Immaculate record. Not only it looks amazing as it is probably the most beautiful record in my collection in terms of packaging but also it sounds flawless, quiet with warm deep bass and great soundstage. However, there are a few peculiarities about my copy that I want to point out. First of all, it had a "pressed on Bio Vinyl" sticker on the shrinkwrap (the exact same one as on this windowlicker record: https://www.discogs.com/release/29443390-Aphex-Twin-Windowlicker) which I've never seen mentioned anywhere. Second, The runouts on side A and B don't match with what's listed here, C and D runouts are same as here and then E side has the runouts of replacement disk (https://www.discogs.com/ru/release/5443773-Boards-Of-Canada-Geogaddi) :
A Side: BM-861159-01 A1 WARPLP101R
B Side: BM-861159-01 B1 WARPLP101R
C Side: BD06602-02 C1
D Side: BD06602-02 D1
E Side: BD36640-01 E1
And the last thing it didn't came with the mp3 download card, which is weird. - Sounds fantastic with very little surface noise. Must have if you're a fan of this album and really want to hear each track shine.
- I can vouch for everyone else that says the records are unreasonably difficult to put into their sleeves
- Edited 2 years agoIMHO this is basically a good sounding album, but it’s cut a bit hot which seems to impact the dynamics somewhat in louder sections. But otherwise a great album of course!
- Excellent sound. The bass floor pounds and the details fly out of speakers like arrows. I’m very happy with this repress. Flat, quiet, luxe packaging. Tri-folds are always a chore but it’s how they designed. The etching is a throw away and it felt like sides played through rather quickly so it’s an up n down affair. Glad to have a companion to Music Has The Right To Children repress. Both excellent.
- Edited 2 years agoThis sounds amazing. Finally pulled the trigger after seeing this in record stores for years and not picking it up. The kicks smack you across the face and the synthesizers still sound so timeless. Sleeves are a little rough and there was a fair bit of static on my copies which may bother some people without a record cleaner. Even with the static though the pressing sounds great. Very happy with this
