Notes
The album was made solely to raise money for a charitable cause and a limited number were pressed, All the musicians gave their time and effort for free.
The opening track from 1:08 to about 3:55 uses a healthy portion of Steve Miller Band's "Song For Our Ancestors".

- Probably the worst version of light my fire I ever heard. Flat, dull and pointless. Overall a quite bad album.
- Great original album! You can't say that these are professional musicians - but it's great! It reflects the everyday life of that time in a simple provincial town. First of all, this is a very rare record and this is its collector's value! I would like to have it in my collection! But she's not available to me!
- This album gets a bad rap, sure there are some throwaway tracks but the first and last tracks are super spooky, something unsettling about the cover also. Yes there are albums on Holyground and others that are better and more accessible but this is not as bad as it's made to be. All the great records have been discovered/reissued by now so when a mediocre record is "discovered" it's usually built up simply because people want to love it.
Go on any blog site and you'll find any number of obscure rock, blues, psych, albums with descriptions like "amazing, intense, holy grail" then you listen and it sounds like some generic BS you've heard a thousand times before. To each his own. - It's hysterical how all these rare 50 year old psych albums are amazingly phenomenal when they are mostly all crap. Worst version of Light my Fire I've ever heard
- Yeah, boy. Lots of sampling here: Steve Miller, György Ligeti (with a nod to Stockhausen's Hymnen: Region IV breathing segment - or is it "Dave Bowman" from 2001: A Space Odyssey"), The Dubliners, Pink Floyd, ... I think it may work better as a suite of tunes that segue rather than individual ones - even with the Dixieland tracks folded in. Maybe Zweistein could be a close comparison or even Marks & Lebzelter, but there was more of this kind of thing during those times than people want to admit to.
- One of the most astonishing British private pressing rarities, only two copies have resurfaced of this 1970 concept album. Telling the story of a woman’s life from her own conception to giving birth, the LP was put together by a variety of musicians and bands at a social club, and allegedly includes an uncredited appearance by Billy Fury. Linked by narration and sound effects, the music runs the gamut from heavy space-rock jamming (including a snatch of ‘Interstellar Overdrive’) to folk/rock (an acoustic cover of ‘Light My Fire’ and a stunning version of ‘Watch The Stars’), avant-garde choirs, krautrock-styled interludes and even trad jazz. The result is among the trippiest albums I have ever heard, comparable only to Jumble Lane in terms of eccentricity, although the music is infinitely better, with a strong Pink Floyd spacy edge. Indeed, had Syd Barrett remained with Pink Floyd, one could well imagine The Dark Side Of The Moon might have sounded thus.
