Reviews
- Edited 9 months agoThis CD symbolizes the beginning of the big beat back in 1996, especially in America. "Everybody Loves A 303", made in Great Britain, is an anthem on its own.
The main interest for me are "Blast" and the "Mad World" remix, both by pre-Vegas era Crystal Method. It seems like that this is the only official release where "Blast" is featured. Although this was certainly part of demos and locally distributed promos, probably.
Paul Grogan's "Massive" brings the more "progressive" breakbeat style characteristic of the "Rampant" label.
Besides, that Stepdisk remix of "Caterpillar" is also more than just worth mentioning. Most people will prefer the Rabbit In The Moon remix (which is also good), but I just can't get enough of this trancey atmosphere that is eventually reached at the sixth minute.
All other songs are at least very good, the global industrial, robotic atmosphere is very unique yet captivating (with "Botz" from Uberzone being the prime example).
People who got some Omar Santana, Crystal Method or DJ Icey stuff should check this out.
