In the Japanese vinyl selling & buying business, it's all about the obi. To take this album as an example, since I own an obi-less copy: disk union in Tokyo will pay maybe Y 3,000 for an excellent condition copy without the obi but offered Y 180,000 in their red Beatles Want List (2015 Winter). For a newer album, the difference is a lot less but still very substantial, ranging from double for a recent/less popular album to 10 times for a classic like The Wall.- I have a japanese copy odeon op 8147 ( Yex-126 ) ; matrix yex - 126- 21 side 1, yex-127- 3 side 2, red translucent vinyl, no insert , no obi, black label, price on back 2,000 y. Thin laminated cover. Not listetd anywhere. Any information to this?
- Anyone know if this had an Obi strip?
