This is a slick, funky and amazingly consistent slice of spacious minimal psy from the turn of the millenium, riding the border between modern "darkpsy", minimal techno and 90's goa. No melody, but lots of delicious heavy mid-tempo rhythms and squelching synth sounds. The clean brightly lit industrial machinery on the cover sets the tone for the polished, futuristic sound of the music. Tracks by favorites like Spirallianz and Ticon do not disappoint ("Maestro Let the Drums Begin" is a banger, maybe my favorite Ticon song), but the lesser known producers contribute nothing but amazing music as well, particularly "Vortex Tunnel" by Ninja vs. Nuromotor. The mix is seamless and keeps you moving. Track it down if you can, especially if you already know what the term "psytekk" means!
