Reviews
- Found a copy for £15 a few months ago in a charity shop. Nothing wrong with it. Bearing in mind the album is so poorly produced, the sound quality isn't bad at all! Very few clicks overall
- AWESOME ALBUM! Happy that I found it in the Rough Trade NYC store! One unfortunate thing is that there is surface noise, but that doesn't bother me much! Overall, great stuff!
- I use it as a cover for my Pro-Ject elemental. Functional art- the picture part looks wonderful. Thick disc that keeps dust off my slipmat. Even with it being used as a cover for several years, a little isopropyl alcohol and she still plays pretty much like new.
The audio quality gives me the vibe that I am listening to a well-used original from the 60s. With the surface noise, pops clips, and skips. But it has character and that is a huge part of why we love vinyl. Extremely analog sounding and I don't mind it. This is a great album that I spin usually when I'm imbibed, so the fidelity doesn't have to be absolutely perfect. It's a fun addition to your collection that looks iconic. - I agree, the music itself sounds awesome but there's very loud constant surface noise. You don't really notice it during the songs but the quiet parts sound like a train station.
- I have this and heard reviews about quality issues but I had none; it seems well cut and the analogue sound is real and rich and natural to my ear. I really like this pic disc.
- My copy of this picture disc, with this catalog number, has "I'll Be Your Mirror" moved to the end of side one, and "Chelsea Girls" added as a bonus track at the end of side two.
- Interesting album. Shame this picture disc version has so much surface noise...
