Edited 8 years agoOK.. gotta eat my hat of on this one. Previously i have written about LNTG´s notorious recycling of sounds..
But why change the winning formula when it still works eh. While easily identified as an LNTG on first listen, the man truly has mastered to build and surprise, lets not forget, climaxing his edits (and that is the whole point of edits: To offer something new to the original). Both of these tracks rides on the LNTG feelgood rolling groove. The Chic edit, if listened to blindly, WILL give you the "OH" moment. Long build up and bass line reloop until the "What am i gonna do" sample finally give it away. From there on it unfolds fully and greatly. Roadtested and approved.
The Tom Browne edit rides on the same feel, The kicker is the kick on it (if you know what i mean). Also roadtested and fully approved.
All forgiven. A real corker re-edit 12".
