I got my copy from Snowfall Tapes many years ago when the guy who runs the label had picked up a bunch of copies for Distro since he loved the album so much. Fairly certain it's an OG copy, even though it looks cheap as hell.
Edited 4 years agoMy guess would be that a lot in circulation are fake, I highly doubt that 46 people both copped it back in the day AND put it in their discogs collection, just judging by other tinnitus releases on here. I have an OG copy I ordered from the label, so if others can scan their copies and email them to me I would appreciate it. I want to be able to point out the differences if there are any.

As an actual review though, this is honestly my favorite album of all time. If you've ever been to a dead mall before, THIS is how it feels
think about how many people unknowingly own a fake version since it's so easy to replicate :/- I have this, bought it wayyyy back when (along with Contemporary by General Translator). Honestly the cheapest looking cassette in my collection. The j-card appears to be printed out and cut with scissors, and the cassette itself is just a blank white cassette with "Hologram Plaza" written on it in sharpie. Id assume it was a bootleg if it weren't for the fact that I bought it directly from the label... If want it for your collection, you might as well just make it yourself :)
Great album though, obviously - If anyone finds this / has it for sale, please tell me I will trade a soul for it
there seem to be two different j-cards in the photos. the scan, and the photo of the open case. is one of them a boot?

Does anyone know how many copies were made, and whether there was a repress?
This is such a mysterious release and I was fortunate enough to have bought a copy years ago, but now the label's defunct, but I'm very curious about the background. Also, I wonder if we'll ever know who Disconscious is / was... Maybe we're not meant to know!- gorgeous mall soft!
