Caveat Emptor! Thanks to anazgnos and Expansive 09 for pointing out that the Numero Uno digital reissue is not simply remastered but clearly a remixed version from a later date. The original tape clocks in at just under 50 minutes (some kind soul has posted the original audio on YT) while according to the Discogs entry, the Numero Uno iteration clocks in at approx 32 minutes.
While I appreciate the digital Reissue says the release is remastered, there seems to be no mention that its not the original cassette album and is in fact a later iteration (though I could be wrong obviously and it is actually explained somewhere that this is the case).
You can see the differences between the two releases here:
Tracklist (Original):
A1 Rhythm Of Life 16:51
A2 Fast Motion 8:09
B1 Sunrise 14:25
B2 Life After Life 10:10
Tracklist (Numero Uno):
1 Rhythm Of Life 16:36
2 Fast Motion 2:40
3 Sunrise 6:17
4 Life After Life 6:39
The only track with a similar length is the title track Rhythm Of Life (though I don't have the 'new' version to hand to know if it's the same mix with 15 seconds cut or not).
If anyone knows when the NU tracks were mixed, that would be great or why on earth the original C50 wasn't issued in digital form please add a reply.
