Remarkable EP. This could have been the new face of minimalist tech-house if modern listeners weren`t so bombarded with sounds and information, so used to maximalism in the arts and in life. This is techno with an applied zen buddhist touch. It`s not what is there, but what isnt. They make use of silence, quietness, in a way that if a bird chirps or a car goes by it flows perfectly with the music. This kind of atemporal release will only be ackowledged by those who have an inherent need for minimalism in their daily lives as well. But with an artist`s touch, bangers like the Melchior Productions remix of the title track can fit nicely in a club set- I will never forget playing this banger for a special few at a club and the look in their half shut eyes of complete introspective trance while they danced in sweat and sweet release. Yet the mastery of this album is such that you can appreciate these tracks at any moment- at home, in the office, in the car, in the club. I am overwhelmed with gratitude towards baby ford and zip and thomas melchior for having crafted such a unique and soulful release.
