- Edited 5 years agoThe original mix is a Dark Trance track which I've always really loved.
It starts off with some nice effects, like something you'd get with a Taucher release. Once it kicks in, it's pretty typical of the era. A solid, pumping bassline rolls over a steady 135bpm tempo (so it's easy to pitch down for a progressive set).
Once it drops, it gets wonderfully dark. A serious German voice speaks, and a sublime minor key melody arrives.
I love Trance like this. On the face of it you could be forgiven for dismissing it as generic, but the melodies are far too dancefloor "unfriendly". You know, people want to feel happy and uplifted when listening to Trance, and Dark Trance doesn't exactly fit that stereotype.
Then, on the final breakdown, an amazing pad swirls around to take you away!
Pretty much unknown, but always a track which I come back to. I'll really have to make a Dark Trance mix.
