Merzbow delivers 3 pieces of frentic, pulsating, beat-infused dirty sounds which is nicely remniscent of the (in)famous Merzbeat, and in the form of "tracts". Perhaps not surprisingly, each "tract" is a pun on the word "track", and a region of an animal's related organs. The black humour of the cover illustration sets the tone for the triptych, as it meanders through hypnotic beats, electronic hiss, feedback, stabs, and indistinct animal grunts. Finally, in Tract 3, syncopated with amphibian croaks, an almost disturbing cow/sheep/human moan emerges, perhaps signalling the success of animal experimentation on humans for a twisted change. In the album's worthy cover lies the moral of Merzbow's wicked Senmaida story.
