Show All 18 ReviewsRegarding the track SPRING YARD.... if you play this as background music to Sonic the hedgehog game (The first mega drive one) it seems to perfectly fit the Spring yard zone levels. Coincidence or was it composed as such?

I recall Camargue being played underneath many pirate radio ads for upcoming nights/raves back in the day. e-tune!
Repeat after me... Mantra, Mantra, Mantra...
This tune just about single-handedly turned me to techno when it came out. Ageless.
Stunning album all round.

What a release this is... as most people dig the two more "Techno-Trance hits" Carmague and Mantra, for me it's all about the opening track Thrust! A wicked mixture of early Hardcoretechno, Acid and even a little bit of Trance, this track is what still gives me goosebumps after all these years since I first heard it in 1993 on a tape recording from a Sven Väth performance from legendary German HR3 Clubnight radio show and later on a tape from DJ Tanith recorded at Hellraiser Rave in Amsterdam.
It took me more than 10 years to find out who actually produced this track and it was an eye opener to recognize that Carmague and Mantra, which of course I also knew, were also produced by CJ Bolland and even were released on the same record.
Btw., nice to know that CJ Bolland is still active today as I just recently saw and heard him play at the Unpolished Rave in Amsterdam in March.

Mantra was one of the best techno releases of the nineties and it still rocks today, Quality track :)
