Pop Rocks ‎– Purple Jelly EP (Acid Purple)

One of my absolute favorite house albums - from the artwork to the diverse high-end tracks it’s all ace!

Purple Jelly still gives me goose bumps to this day in the intro, then the bass drops, then the beats a measure after that and it's on after that!

I think this is the most balanced Spencer Kincy production, an impressive double-pack without a sign of his two potential minor flaws (grittiness or sometimes slight over-complexity losing the plot), at a time where the artist was in full power and creativity. These are light, elegant, perfectly crafted, supremely groovy and original house bubbles, varying the moods with a perfect measure of depth and dreams thrown in. Personal favorite would be "Wizadry" and "Oh Get Down", but this is 5-stars material all-through anyways.
