I too think the production on this matches the musical content, both are world class. I think Oleta Adams performance is extraordinary on Woman In Chains, a true classic. Worth seeking out a good copy of this pressing.

Maybe anyone knows - who was the original US mastering engineer at Masterdisk?
Who had cut this masterpiece??

Astonishing album that has aged exceedingly well and effortlessly blends contrasting musical styles. Talk Talk's 1988 album 'Spirit of Eden' may have possibly been an influence. This is a real audiophile experience with the original 1989 pressing at a time when recordings of this quality were very rare on vinyl with all the focus being on CDs. A clean mint copy of this album is highly recommended especially when they're going so cheaply on here.

pretty much the only pop-rock album i was able to properly enjoy. production is top-notch, perhaps one of the best ever done, every song literally emanates an aura of coherence and consistence throughout the album. still so good and enjoyable today

got it on both cd and vinyl, though the vinyl is heavily warped and thus unplayable. still makes me sad :'( but the cd is fully playable!! at least
