This is funny, I've bought the album with the old cover now, but it has a different picture on each of it's labels and one of these pictures is the 'new cover'. So I guess these were all possible covers at the time, and they regretted the one they chose to replace it later with one of the others.

I have this CD since it's release, really one of my favourite albums of all time. Want to buy it on vinyl now, but I really have to get used to that new cover. Does anyone why they'd changed it? And does this re-release sound better than the old one? If there's not much of a difference, I might try to find a copy with the old cover for nostalgic reasons. But if it has a better sound, I guess I better get used to that new cover. Prices between these versions seem to be pretty close, so that won't make much of a difference. Really first world problems, I know...

Does anyone know why they changed the cover for the reissue? I can't find anything the band have said about it.

My copy has a piece of paper stuck in the grooves of side d. About a size of cut fingernail. It's probably a manufacturing defect that is specific to my copy. I found out about it after years of owning it. I feel sad. It used to have a thumping click sound and now that I've tried to clean it, it skips over a gaping hole. Maybe I'll feel the gap with wood glue and etch the missing grooves myself. I had to share my sadness. Whining helps right? :(
