Blackhoods – Sunk

This is one of the most under appreciated releases out there. This tape continues to blow my mind seven years since its release. Don't sleep on this is you like, fuck I don't know... uhhhhh....if you like riffs-dub-echo-torque-tempered-psych. This is a psychedelic classic, wonderfully paced, hypnotic, seductive and fuckin heavy in places. Drenching and soaking waves are reverbed out and rolling. Tension is expanded and contracted. Held asunder on the waterbeds of ocean weather and the relative stillness of western desert. The record charts wide territory and does so with intuitive judgement and judicious use of intent. It's a ripper. Would love a repress, cut loud, on vinyl. Modern classic. No question.
