- While Feadz' debut, INSTANT ALPHA, sounds initially like much of the classic French house of the late 90s (especially with the opener "Welcome to Paris"), by the next track, "Electric Empire," it stakes out its place in electro hip-hop. "Papercut" pushes this further, while "Instant Beta" decides to go a slightly sillier route with a flanged vocal snip to add some lightness. "Eastside" will have you calling out your location (the remix tries to go heavy when the lighter touch works better), and the jittery "Wettex" contrasts the bubbly "Stick Builders." A fun album overall.
