Whenever I play this pressing, it’s like having 4000 angry wasps flying around the room. It is literally the worst vinyl I own. And that’s even compared to some records that have been sat in a loft for 20 years and are covered in mould, grit and finger prints from being dj’d. Hopefully this will be re-mastered and have a decent re-release at some point. It deserves it because it is such a classic!
WANTED "GZ Media" Dead or Alive (I prefer Dead). This pressing factory is a terrorist organisation! They should not be authorized to press anymore. Always shit....
Just got this used. Some scuffs etc. Yes.. not a great pressing... but even the Digital sounds turd. Some EQ and this is listenable. Needs a PROPER remaster for sure.
This is genuinely the worst sounding vinyl pressing i’ve heard and own. I cannot believe the complete lack of quality control to allow such a release. I genuinely thought something was wrong with my stylus when i played it and only playing my ‘go to’ test record and also trying it on another turntable confirmed the pressing to be the issue. Avoid.
I had the original UK release from new, bought on the day of release. But it had always been one of the worst sounding records in my collection, so I stupidly sold it in the hope that a decent remaster would be issued one day. Well, they have issued a remaster, but I'm afraid to say it sounds even worse to me than the original did. This is one of the few times I have to admit that the CD sounds better than the two vinyl versions I've heard (the original and this). Very disappointing.
Glad to see I'm not the only one with issues with the vinyl. I switched backwards and forwards between the CD and the vinyl and the difference was massive. The vinyl is terrible. One of my all time fave albums but I'll be sticking to my CD.
