- The DVD with the 5.1 and PC Stereo Mix really makes the difference and gives you an idea how it could or should have sounded. If you can manage to transfer it to MP3 or Flac, you'll hear it within the first 20 seconds.
- Edited 10 years agoThe worst mastered Depeche Mode record. Vinyl has a bit better sound, but the outrageous LP prices don't reflect the exact "improvement" over the CD version. To me, this record needs a total new stereo mix. The songs don't help either: they're the most industrial DM tracks to date. Nothing wrong with that but why the need for the first 4 tracks to sound like pure Nine Inch Nails? And there is no excuse to leave out "potential A-Sides" that were eventually set as B-Sides, "Free" and "Newborn" out of the record in favour of stuff like "I Want It All" and "John The Revelator".
Still waiting for a proper remastered version with the B-Sides as bonus tracks. - LP1 A side, for me is a little bit greasy, i don know, but i guess, its a recording issue.Other 3 sides is correct, better than cd versions.
