I was sitting on this for years and the price was never rising for over a decade .. Had the feeling it was going into a territory that I won’t be able to afford this in years to come … back time it was $30 aud .. It’s that glowing warm vibes that comes from my speakers every time this is played .

This album basically realizes the promise of lounge music. Like Vaporwave, there is a looking back to past that never existed, the soundtrack to an alternate reality where we chill out in lounges with space age furniture, have jetpacks and orgazmatrons. The music has aged like a fine cheese. As others have said, if you like Kid Loco's "A Grand Love Story" or Air's "Moon Safari" get this, it is a true "lost classic." I also recommend the single for "Journey" their opus.

Would love a reissue of this sometime. One of the coolest lounge albums ever

Killer record that stood the test of time. Spacey easy listening for repeated listening.

I can’t believe just how cheap the vinyl is, bearing in mind this is Rephlex. A brilliant record if you dig Kid Loco, Air, Karminsky Exp, early Zero 7, Lemon Jelly, DJ Shadow and loads of other nice quality downtempo lounge stuff. A snip at these prices and a lovely enveloping listen, good songs and a drifting feel to the whole affair. Very much part KLF ‘Chill out’ and ‘Space’ if they were both raised on lounge and easy listening music, French 60/70s pop, soundtracks, Bossa Nova, library, Vocal harmony pop and so on.
The cover art is both hilarious and horrifically kitch but don’t let that put you off the magic in the grooves within because the music is in no way kitsch, it’s carefully thought out and considered down to the last note.
Their second is also very good and well worth a punt.
Grab now while still cheap as chips. This was a revelation to me and I remember them from the time but never investigated.
These guys were sadly under appreciated during the 90s. In hindsight they made two brilliant albums, the re appraisal starts here... Highly recommended.

Proof that Rephlex chooses well it's artists, in any specific genre.
This album is great, very special and probably one of the first to blend the 'chill-out' 90's ambient genre (re)launched by the likes of KLF or FAX records (Germany) a few years earlier with the 50's type of 'easy listening' lounge cocktail atmosphere and this so well 'crafted' it's amazing, made with love and gentleness °).
