Edited one year agoThere are some true electronica classics here, some really top notch stuff. Definitely a high quality under the radar compilation that is affordable. For me the Geep track is truly a gem, eventually credited to The Orb, but it sounds like nothing they have ever done before or since. To me it sounds like something from the Pure Plastic camp, or Stasis or B12, it's got that haunting, dreamy vibe with unconventional rhythms. It's a slow burner that draws you down into a fascinating ride that you'll be thankful you stuck with.
Dytic is my fav track from Moritz and Mark. Amazing mood here. It looks like a meeting with something amazing, unearthly, not of this world, but very light and kind, something very technological, captivating, hypnotic, mystical, something permeating time and space, and at the same moment cozy, warm, welcoming.- “Dytic” is insane. How this was made in 1994 or before and sound like that is beyond me.
Contains an unreleased and a very very good Basic Channel production. Also the one that stand out one as well among of these. Very crisp and fresh and have stood the test of time with pride.
