Reviews
- i need more spiritual jazz like this, beyond the obvious stuff. i dig the freeness, but it's also bluesy, chilled and trance-like at times, avoiding lurching into chaotic, over urgent free improv freak outs. gimme any recs you got!
- I have a promo copy of this pressing. I tried to create another version for it, but it got removed. Shouldn't the promo press have a separate version?
- even though this seems to be her most revered release, i actually prefer both Universal Consciousness and World Galaxy. this one seems way more tame and structured than the aforementioned two which are unhinged avant jazz masterpieces.
- Edited 4 years agoThese price hikes are insane. This record was 20-30$ some time ago. Still a 5/5 masterpiece!
- As far as avant-jazz goes, I'm not a huge fan, but this album, THIS album is transcendent. Throw on some head phones and while some free/avant discs will become grating, this album just fires on a cacophony of bliss. Highly recommended, especially those who gave up on listening to avant/free jazz without having heard this. HARD FILED!
