I have not compared this with any notable releases like the 50th edition but I will agree with the comments. This is a solid reissue, it’s got a great soundstage and absolutely no sibilance or distortion when I spin in. Marvin’s vocals are definitely able to shine.

Even in less-than-great condition, this pressing sparkles. Blows away the 2012 Tamla. Look around for one. (I found one in a $5 bin - go figure).

This is an excellent pressing but the UK 1st press A1/B1 beats it on my system. Given that you can get an original UK for less than the 1984 US and the soundstage is better it’s a no brainer

This pressing definitely has far better clarity overall, especially with respect to the mids & highs. The original pressing had a bit more bottom IMO.....I would still chose this re-issue over an OG though.

I'm looking for JUST THE SLEEVE. Message me before you list.

I agree with the others. This is a very dynamic pressing and the low end is great.

Just found a NM copy locally, and I can confirm how beautiful this copy is. Absolutely stellar, all around. Prefect bass, dynamics, and Marvin's voice is flawless on here. Highly recommended!

Jamerson's bass sounds beautiful on this version. Definitely recommended.

To me the 80's Motown reissues of this album sound better than the original pressing and much better than the 2012 pressing I had.
