Great music indeed. Unfortunately the pressing is only mediocre. Even washing did not help. Surface noise throughout, which is really a pity.
Really great music, these American Recordings got me into Johnny Cash almost 20 years ago. Some personal favorites: The Beast in Me; Oh, Bury Me Not; Like a Soldier; The Man Who Couldn't Cry. I'm glad I found a copy at a great price!
That being said, I have to repeat many reviews' concerns about GZ Media pressings. I don't know where they pick up all that dirt, but my copy needs a good wash. Hopefully that will take care of the snap-crackle-and-pops I don't like to hear on a brand new record.- does this 2014 rereleases come with printed inner sleeves?
