I never realized there was a debate here. The Raven 100%. We come and we go...

I bought my copy at the Virgin Megastore on Robson in Vancouver BC, in the basement where all the electronic was. Wonderful day finding this in the new releases for $12.99 Canadian (~the cost of 2 pints at the pub at the time).

Why no love for Density? Although it does sound a bit like Subway part 2 (he probably made this in the same weekend as Subway) it is still a great track. The whole ep is essential to be honest!

The Skylab track is the alternative mix that has been released on digital formats & not the original mix that featured on the vinyl.

For me its all about the Raven here, my copy was so worn from play had to get a second and have since nabbed a third.. next level shit.

Skylab, its all been said below.....so all I can add is that to me this is one of the best early Headz releases with its simple Amen rollout, abyss like bass and brooding atmosphere. Call it Jungle/Techstep or D&B who cares, its just a classic example of how to rollout a tune. Edit: the version found on Artcore 3 is different and arguably a better mix coming in at 6:19 runtime.

Skylab is a deadly track. Sounds like a fighter jet tearing through an empty building

I'm sorry but it's that intro which does it for me. 2010 Space oddesey looking to the middle of the discovery was just before Jupiter imploded into black monoliths in the film. Check it out.
The bad boy ed rush and Dom Angus on top form here with a storming mix of chopped up and reversed amen breaks smashing up the place

Bigchamp69, what is wrong with "techstep" term ? It's official substyle of drum & bass and Ed Rush was one of the pioneers of this sound. So, please, find out more about it and stop talking nonsense. Peace.

People please stop calling great drum n bass "tech step" for fucks sakes ! This is a great 12, all the tracks are smashing. It is a shame music like this is not made any more. The new tunes are very good ..but this has feeling.
