- It's began as a LONDON THING!!......... Hot on the heels of the classic revive 'Try Love Again' was 'You Can Count On Me'. Both tracks of course becoming hot favourites with the steppers on the blues party scene back during 1988. Catapulting this relatively obscure group into the conscious of urban London. leading to the tracks being inevitably bootlegged on the immensely popular but infamous 'RAW' 'rare groove' compilation and on to various official reissues of the tracks and albums during the 90's on vinyl and compact disc.
These popularity of two tracks also signalled a change in the direction of the kind of music being revived on the stepping scene with a new emphasise on songs similar in feel, as opposed to the previous more disco-soul/jazz-funk orientated 'rare groove' backdrop. - Count On Me... What a mellow tune, recommended !
