I totally agree with sunshine-recorder. This is such an underrated record I think, both artists have an amazing solo trajectory and it's really good to listen them together, as it's also with Patricia's other collaboration projects with Terekke, NGLY, Arp, etc. Ravitz is always capable of shaping and texturizing his own sound imprint in all his tracks, that amazes me. Also, Morandi's lo-fi inhibitions always re-contextualize the whole thing each time you click 'play', and I think that's something really clever. Their execution and arranging capabilities on analog hardware is a highlight, simply remarcable. I strongly recommend to check out each of their Boiler Room sessions and Soundcloud mixes if you haven't. A+.

Seriously nice record - a great melding of that hazy sound Patricia (50) has been pushing in his small run of releases with the more abstract meanderings of Jahiliyya Fields - what results is an interesting, deep lo-fi house/techno record that eschews the cookie-cutter sound that seems to be present of a lot of records attempting the sound that have been popular over the past year or so.

'No Hats' is a great track perfect both as an intro or something to spin in the middle of a set with a propulsive blend of snares that sound like they're falling apart and some hazy kicks and hi hats.

'There Are Cops Around' is a track where you can definitely hear Jahiliyya Fields' sound pushing through more with the almost kosmiche bleeps and bloops emerging here and there from a dissonant haze of confused percussion.

All in all - a high quality 12" that you shouldn't miss out on - amongst (or even) the best L.I.E.S. has put out this year.
