I can't understand why nobody below mentioned how blissfull & epic "Hot Destinations For A Cooler You" is - puts every other track on this ep in the shade!- i was late in purchasing this, and altho i did get it from the record shop, it was sadly the plain white stickered sleeve. now it's a fews years on, and i not only do i wish a second copy, but also the original sleeve which is almost as beautiful as the music contained therein. it's EXTREMELY happy music without ever dare venturing into kitsch. that is what made this release so incredibly speacial. it's not kitschy. it's ridiculously joyful. easily replaces a you know what.
i remember playing this on an intimate open air, yes, beach, yes warm, yes summer...
when i brought blaff in, a gentleman in his early 50s screamed "yes, yes, yes, that's it."
it's not a djs "secret weapon" per se, it's rather a very serious declaration of love.
that's what this ep does to people myself included. if not always in my bag, it certainly always orbits it depending. - Edited 10 years agoHoly heck, This release is amazing! looking forward to receiving my copy, set to move feet and minds alike, lovely lovely cosmic disco island ice cubes
