Notes
Four different pieces are subsumed under this title. From their characteristic
style and from their make: a 'narrative', a 'painting', a 'collage' and a
series of metamorphoses. What they have in common is the emergence from
an experimental situation with unusual loudspeaker positioning for the
movement of sound in space. CAVE is what I call one of the programs I had
developed for it. CAVE incorporates the real space in which the listeners are
situated (the 'cave' - entirely in keeping with Plato) into the overall effect.
Emanating from this starting point, the four works develop in the most
different directions. (G.Rabl)
