I´ve done a back to back comparison to a 1969 RE press, which I finally got hold of the other day (cheaper than this copy!). On my current system it is like night and day. This pressing is flat and whatever "punch" there is, sounds distorted and "maxed out" on high volume.

My 69 copy can be played on 20% higher volume (didn´t try higher) without any distortion and without my ears getting tired. The dynamic range difference is also huge. While this copy keeps the "width" dynamics, there is no depth and no "volume range". Also feeling like precense and details such as echoes and delay effects are more or less abcent.

I tried listening to the album on spotify through some $80 computer speakers and it sounded better than this press.

Home Setup
Player: Rega P3 with elys
pre amp: Schiit Freya Plus with JJ tubes
power amp: XTZ A100 a2-300
Speakers: QLN prestige - 2020

why the hell did they decide to put the sticker on the actual album cover instead of it’s shrink-wrap…

This pressing sounds muddy and pretty awful with my new speakers which have otherwise vastly improved listening to my collection.

I don't like very much this press. The sound is ok but it don't sound naturally. It is a little to forced on high and medim freqvency. The low freqvency is also a little amplifid but is ok,

Side B sounds better than side A for me. Not sure if cleaning it would help. On the last track of side A I have a bit of a tick. But side B sounds awesome. Punchy and dynamic. I am using a Rega P6 with exact cartridge.

Sounds great, don’t listen to those ‘audiophiles’ who think digital is the devil’s work. This is the cheapest way to get a mint and good copy of this album. Only annoyance with this release is the paper sticker on the front, mine screwed up the front when trying to remove it.

It’s the cheapest newly bought record I own so very please about the quality of both the vinyl and sonically. Flat heavy quiet pressing which is harder to come by these days.
Sound has decent separation and soundstage. Full/rich or slightly veiled i don’t know But writing this halfway the record as I’m listening.
In general popular older rock albums can sound terrible (doors, Hendrix stones etc) So to find this album, at this price point (16.99) I can’t flaw its tbh.

Edit: slight IGD on the last song. Not the unlistenable kind but a good ear hears the slight difference in the screechy voice.

Fantastic! Clean, flat and flawless pressing. Dynamic with a nice sound stage. It has a full, rich and expansive sound. More detailed then most reissues out there. I have a 1977 pressing; https://www.discogs.com/Led-Zeppelin-Led-Zeppelin-II/release/2359869 and I must say this 2014 pressing is more dynamic and detailed and the bass is more punchy! I got mine from Amazon. This one was done right!

Don't know what it is with these led Zeppelin reissues, the mastering is just off. Balance and depth are fine and there lots greate separation between the high and lows aswell are a good spaced out stereo mix let some how it ends up being realy tiny and harsh. Only thing I can think of is the digital aspect but even then it makes no sence as iv had lots or records that were mastered digitally and theyed sounded fine.

My copy of this pressing sounds excellent, and is my go to version above the 1969 UK repress I have. There is plenty of bite, with some additional clarity which I think it benefits from.
