- Edited 4 months agoSuch an uniquely crunchy sounding album, not stretching too far from it roots with thine eyes. This album stands out in various qualitys, mostly it cartoonish or melancholic tracks on this release ofcourse, probably a 6 or 7 out of ten cause of it's obscure experimental abilities which I'd wish we'd see much more of in these tronic like communities. Most outstanding tracks on this strangely experimental release would be Librarian, sneakerwave, Flanket & Quick kit as the ones I fondly remembered mostly in ML's n5MD album. I'd highly recommend if your into such artists as frog pocket etc, or if your sick of shitty pretentious generic techno beats. ML like many others artists featured on n5MD and other brilliant labels like toytronic are severely/criminally underrated & muffled. This isn't great & isn't bad, but at least it trys something newly creative & gives you the bigger picture of ML's overall style like what you hear in MD1 & MD8 including we bore & Pajam party that they're frequently presented in, probably one of their most experimental albums with every track being strangely sticking within my memory cause of how distinctive ML's style always sounds.
- Edited 7 years agoAs what the other user has stated, ML brings a huge variety to table; every track sounds distinct. Though every track is different, not all are good. Some are too messy and some use ear piercing timbres, but what d'you expect from an album that's fundamentally musical Dadaism? But in spite of the few bad ones though, there are some very memorable IDM pieces here such as Sneakerwave (which is one of my favorites).
So do i recommend this? Yes, though it isn't my personal favorite, I do believe it's a great album. - Edited 18 years agoFrom beginning to end this is quality listening music. ML come together to form a variety of ear-tingling tracks, and all of which sound different from one another. The compostitions are varied, creative, and interesting. This disc has tons of subtleties, innovative melodic trickery and catchiness to please from start to finish.
