Reviews
- I agree this vinyl reissue from MOV sounds terrible. The bass and drums are dull and flat. The ‘sparkle’ of the guitars is lost in what sounds like excessive compression. The original CD sounds much better, but still not great. I found a copy of the 2013 RSD remaster with the bonus tracks and streamed it on Qobuz. This is only available as a 44.1/16 FLAC file, but it is by far the best of the bunch and blows the CD & MOV vinyl out of the water!
- Edited 3 months agoSorry to go against the grain but the CD I purchased back in the 90s sounds far better than this and it shouldn't. I have no idea if this album was even recorded to tape. I would assume so but they clearly
did something wrong and it shows. Possibly too much digital alteration. The drums specifically are very dull sounding. They're not crisp and clear like the CD. This sounds like a 128k mp3 file. 🙄 - Anyway what some folks say. This is a great pressing and mastered very decently for an one hour record. I am really amazed listenig to it right now!
- Just my two cents…but I personally felt this sounded nowhere near as good as the analog spark pressings of Nico and Soup.
- I think all good, quality pressing, cool inner sleeve. Maybe cover looking a bit “fake” as other have said…but at the end who cares if music sounds great? Happy with this
- Edited 2 years agoMaybe I got a dud. I've heard worse, but my copy has a fair amount of background noise: snap, crackle, and pop. It is significant enough to intrude onto the quieter parts of songs. I was pretty disappointed - most of my other MOV pressings are great.
- Such a solid album, not a single bad song!
Music On Vinyl absolute knocks it out of the park with this one! - Edited 4 years agoyeah the jacket print quality is kinda crappy but i’m pretty sure a version of the art bigger than the cd doesn’t exist
