    Mine says made in Canada.
    Records and packaging look good.
Overall sound is good not great ( mostly very good)
Drums and vocals are the stars.
The guitars are a bit hazy/sludgy but this is a psychedelic grunge metal record from the early to mid 90s, so…
Only real gripe is bass hoof/distortion on “fell on black days” and “ like suicide”
I will definitely keep enjoying this even if I don’t quite treasure it.
My point of comparison is the og CD, a Walkman copy of said CD and various mp3s.
    I personally think it’s markedly better than the cd on my upper entry/lower mid range system;

Definitely not as bad as some people make it out to be, but its true that the mids are compressed and muddy. Worse on certain songs, not as bad on others. The pressing itself is high quality, nice heavy vinyl and no pressing issues - it's just a slightly less than ideal mastering. However, this album has always kind of sounded like this, so maybe it's just inherent in the master tapes.

The packaging is also phenomenal, love the booklet they printed with this. IMO, well worth it if you can get it at retail (and it seems to be resurfacing lately)

I gave this a 4 star rating because the music is phenomenal and the quality of the records are excellent. My LP's are heavy, flat and have no audible noise anywhere. The outer sleeve and poly lined inner sleeves are great quality. The book is a nice touch to complete the packaging.
The problem with this release IMHO is the mastering. It's muddy. Vocals and percussions come through with clarity. The guitar and bass aren't so clear. It's not a terrible record in fact I do recommend it.
I just wish it would get the Chris Bellman or MoFi treatment. This is such a deserving album to get better SQ treatment. I want to be blown away by both the music and the sound quality. My 2 cents.

(THOSE WHO HAVE THE 320 PRESSING) noob question. compare to the 320 pressing , what is the difference?

I have never tried the first press, but in my opinion this reissue has a very good sound. I recommend you to verify if your speakers are set up properly, as this record will easily reveal a poor placement. Before finding a proper one within my system, this wasn't a great sounding record; now it's at least very very good. Second and last recommendation: play it LOUD, it improves a lot the experience.

It needs a new mastering. Like by Kevin Gray, Bernie G or Chris Bellman.

This album, just like Nevermind has been, should be out there in the best sound quality possible. It was a huge huge album of those times and still rocks with monster intesity.

A really good sounding vinyl version has been MIA for far too long.

I heard Analogue Productions plans to recut this, which would be amazing.

Very disappointed as mine sounds terrible. Lacking clarity, hoofing bass all over the place, distorted, yeeeauuch.

Great sound, much better than cd disc for shure. Listening to this lp was like at first time listening to the album.

Perhaps this album will never sound that great. The vinyl is an improvement over the 1994 CD in terms of compression and bass presence (CD is also top-end heavy and a bit thin), but ultimately it doesn't sound all that good. Worth it if you are looking for an upgrade to the CD, but don't expect high fidelity. I also preferred the 1994 CD to the included digital vinyl rip.
