OK - My question is, who produced the casio keyboard organ riff of this track? Is that something Tony Humphries did? It's not Pop Mechanics and it's not 'Go Wild Rhythm Tracks'. I'm dying to know - somehow that is the sickest riff I've ever heard lmao

'Virgo- Mechanically Replayed' is a WBMX style radio 'house' medley loosely based around Virgo's 'Go Wild Rhythm Trax' (The debatable 'who produced what' squabble EP from Vince Lawrence/Marshall Jefferson). Dubbing in early 'proto house' sounds from sources such as Larry Josephs seminal NY label 'Electric Ice' and Karen Young's 'Hot For You', the mix also contains an important ingredient: Italo Disco. Chicago, Detroit, NY, LA, Philadelphia & locations around the USA (where the dance craze now known as 'House' was forming in differing ways) were also influenced by the rhythms & melodies of europe's highly electronic take on the Disco sound. This 12" medley captures some history & roots of that developing culture & early influences, reflecting on the scope of sounds you might have heard on floors back in the clubs we all now know the name of today, but for most back then were relatively unheard of. An important document worthy of a house lovers attention.
