- my copy plays very well, tho i find the volume little bit too low, found it secondhands in an original uk '67 mono cover. Its definetly a novelty item
- Edited 3 years agoMy copy is horrible. Visibly bumpy surface and terribly noisy. Basically unplayable. Bought it new in '78 as a 16 year old, new to collecting records. Very disappointed then and now
- Edited 3 years agoThe pressing quality is very, very variable. Some play OK, but some are even not playable due to bumpy surface of the discs. When you come across and want to purchase it, try tracing the surface of the disc with a gentle finger. If you feel it bumpy, avoid it!
- I just pulled this out for a listen, probably for the first time since I bought it when it was released. Ya know, it's not too bad for a picture disc! Incredible low end for some reason. I've no idea what US master Capitol used, but I've gotta say I've heard a lot worse. And the noise floor is totally non-offensive in spite of the disclaimer on the sleeve. Granted, I'll always reach for a mono copy of this album but this ain't bad for a go-to US stereo version.
- I've owned this for a very long time and just played it for the first time today and it sounds great! Nice collectible and the fact that this is cheaper than the new picture disc that came out last year makes it worth owning.
- I must have the worst copy available. The first two songs have almost no vocals, its all music but you can barely hear singing in the background. I would not recommend this copy unless you want a wall hanger. .
