Simply Vinyl is hit and miss. The Nirvana SV vinyl are not good. They sound like a cd. the pressings are flat and well made, but the source sucks. Other SV lp's are superior like Dire Straits or Nick Drake. There are multiple AAA reissues available on later 320 pressings and these sound dynamic, i have heard the difference.

I am literally listening to my copy right now. I'm the only owner, as I bought it from Simply Vinyl in the early 00's. It's a quiet pressing, very little if any surface noise. It sounds really good. But I have serious doubts about it being cut from analog tape, because I also have the original CD and they sound exactly the same. The only difference is the vinyl is just overall quieter because it's a vinyl record. There is ZERO difference in dynamics, which is sort of a dead giveaway, as the authentic analog pressing of In Utero has A LOT more dynamics, and it's very noticeable when you first hear it. This one doesn't have that at all.

Highly recommended pressing. Yes it’s a bit more than some more recent pressings but this is superior.

Perfectly good sounding record. I’m sure it has been topped, but this is no slouch. It’s the only pressing I have so I can’t compare, but I don’t feel like it’s lacking.

My copy sounds excellent. I would recomend this pressing as a great option if you want a somewhat vintage copy in nice condition for a good price.

The Simply Vinyl 180 Gram von 1998 are in my opinion well made. I got two Bowie and a Sly Stone from this 1998 Limited Edition ("Limited Edition Vinyl LP Classic Albums 180g Virgin Vinyl Pressings Heavy Quality Sleeves". With the Silver stickers in that PVC Simply Vinyl sleeve). They sounded all right for me. And they ket the covers real original in The Bowie . Honestly that were my fisrt 180g vinyls. I gotta listen again to them to tell how good they are compared to others. I have a very well memory to them. Not sure if the Horace Andy limited 5000, 180 gram is also from Simply Vinyl... Did Virgin only press those in 1998?
