Reviews
- Edited 3 months agoThe MKapella is absolutely timeless and so underrated in the MK canon. One of my fav closers ever. Like someone pressed the ideal sun-kissed beach day into the grooves.
- Classic MK club hit that'll allways sound good to my ears. The only version that really matters IMHO is the (Original) Vibe Mix. This track doesn't need anything more.
- Its all about 'You Brought Me Love', which is one hell of a classy tune. It has such a huge rumbling baseline and a great hook, I defy you not to love it. One for those that know and for those that dont grab this peach of a tune. The A side is a huge classic track. One for any Deep House lover.
- Edited 5 years agodoes anyone know whats up with the similarity between the dekalb mix and the ambient cult mix of this djs rule track? https://www.discogs.com/DJs-Rule-Get-Into-The-Music-The-Serious-Remixes/master/118871 coincidence? ;)
- The Area 10 release is worth the asking price alone for track B2, You Bought Me Love which in 91/92 was a huge underground garage favourite.
- 'you brought me love' is the one for me...that groove, that bassline, those garagey chords and those mad piano notes!
- Although "Burning" is the track everybody knows, head straight for the first track on side B - "MKappella". A very simple arrangement, nice keys, flute and melody held together with a groove to die for. Lovely deep house of the highest order.
- WHilst Burning is undoubtably a classic... Side 2 is just as class.. and the MKappella is sheer class deep sunset house, whilst You brought me love is dark basement groove of the highest order..... at the time I trashed both sides, what more can you say... simply, one of THE standout tracks of the early 90's.............. and I'm not even mentioning the influence the whole EP had on UK Garage... ESSENTIAL
- This is an all time fave of mine. The reason is side two. Both tracks are very different but show off mk's love of a deep groove.
