Oh my god... I don't know how to describe beauty of those sounds in my native language so I feel bit hopeless writing these words in English...
When you will listen to this album you will hear true passion for the music. To the sound. You can dance to this album, you can chill to this album you can make love to this album. You can hear how blurry and thin can be line between soul music and techno. Finally, after so many years of listening to mp3s I hold this CD right in my hands. Thanks god for ebay and Discogs.

I'm late with this review.
All the 5 12"s are here in my box. But for the first time i was listening to the complete CD-Compilation right now.
Unbelievable good music... VERY hard to choose a favourite track.
I know - it wouldn't happen - but "Round Six" is a MUST !

While I really enjoy this record, I rarely play it as a whole. The first two tracks are okay, but the essence comes with those featuring Tikiman (now using his real name Paul St. Hilaire). "Acting Crazy" is both danceable and highly atmospheric (which you could probably say about most songs from the Basic Channel family catalogue), with Paul's emotional interpretation perfectly fitting hypnotic techdub surroundings. This has to be one of my very favourite "around-BC" tunes ever. "Find A Way" is a masterpiece, too. Even more melancholic, it takes you on a trip you will never forget. Hazy dub "Ne Fa Throw It" sounds like a Rhythm & Sound at-once-classic. Instrumentals are also not to be skipped. Highly recommended collection.

This collection is totally essential for any fans of Maurizio and friends. All of the tracks are great, though my favorites are I'm Your Brother, New Day and Find a Way- both versions for each.

The standout track for me is the Maurizio (Quadrant Dub II) remix of I'm Your Brother. It's a religious experience, my favorite Maurizio track (even better than Domina). The synth flourish about 1/2 way is one of those "pearly gates" moments - but in typical Maurizio style, without any dressing. There's an exceptionally natural flow to the whole track.

The Club mixes of I'm Your Brother and New Day are early/mid-90's classic, tight, jackin, garagey, NY meets Chitown vocal house.

An amazing & fine collection of the Round series twelves from '93 - '99 with the deep 'Basic Channel' trademarks but assigning their talents to deep garage in 'I'm your Brother' A Deep House/Garage ANTHEM, along with 'New Day'("Give me your love, give me your love, tell me that you need it...") both sung with spine-tingling beauty by Andy Caine. Then, on the album we have the talents of Tikiman for 'Acting Crazy', basically 'M6' with lyrics("Baby you Acting Crazy, tings haven't been very bright lately"..)COOL!.A great tune. 'Find A Way' is my favourite from Tikiman,a real DUB tribute,Ernestus & Maurizio are the 'constructors' of sound & know how to create REAL music. The album finishes nicely with 'Na Fe Throw It' a slow sleeper track(again with Tikiman). All tracks also have a VERSION of them (w/o lyrics for those unfamiliar with dub)Truly somnolent & in the Basic Channel tradition. A Classic album!!
