- Bought a copy and the recording sounds terrible, I'd avoid this pressing unfortunately seems like there are multiple issues with it :(
- can i anyone else comment on the eating standing pressing? I have another of their reissues and it sounds pretty good but dont wanna drop £35 on a bad pressing.
Cheers - Edited 2 years agoI just got my copy of Steve Kuhn by Eating Standing. What can I say... Bass sounds like in the tunnel, no middletones, vocal sounds almost like CB radio. I know the album only from the CD record which sounds so smooth, soft and natural compared to this pressing... What a pity
- Time To Go and The meaning of Love are two of my all time favorite songs. Beautiful, delicate and sad. The rest is a bit too experimental for me.
- Edited 11 years agoBy far, far his best album. He is out of his mind (it was the early 70's). Nice spacy album. He actually sings and I even like it which is highly unusual (liking a male jazz singer). but his singing is so whacked out it's good. Steve Kuhn blows going into the 1980's. As soon as these performers come down off their high of the late 60's and 70's their music is less creative and very predictable.
