Fantastic one-off single! The A-side is a great lost early electro hit, with the synthesizer riff to die for - captivating and enchanting. The "Miller-sound" is in evidence, of course. The B-side is nearly as good (but still not as good, of course), adding real drums to proceedings amongst those wonderful analog synths. What a year 1981 was, so rich with goodies like this one!

Both songs were issued on CD over the years - by the same Cherry Red that gave them life originally. Unfortunately "Music" has been mangled by remastering - whoever did it, uncomprehendingly saw fit to add horrible distortion to the synth riff, making it sound like a cheap demo unstead of the original electro-perfection. Even more sad is that this mistake hasn't been corrected yet and all compilations feature the butchered song :( What's even more crazy is that "Science fiction", released recently on the great "Electrical language" box, sounds perfect, crystal-clear there. Hopefully someone will notice the misdeed - and it better be sooner rather than later!
