I initially got into Bas Noir via the piano break used by Unique 3 in "Weight for the bass (3 ton mix)" from My Love is Magic and bought this also. Personally, I think this release is not as strong, but it's redeemed by the brilliant 'Dub mix' and the "What?!" moment when the carousel pipes start, which may have inspired Derrick May on his 'Salsa Life' track from 'The Beginning EP' (both track's organ breaks come in at the 4 min mark).

The dub on this is really good. The synth line that comes in around 4 minutes in is crazy, worth the cost of admission and then some
